Australian manufacturers and importers, are required to ensure that compliance labels are applied to telecommunications product before it is supplied to the market.
An appropriate statement or certificate of compliance issued by a Certificate body recognised by Australian Communications & Media Authority’s (ACMA).

Why the RCM ?为什么需要标注RCM？ 如何才能标注？
The RCM has recently (1 March 2013) been confirmed as the single compliance mark for all ACMA arrangements. The RCM indicates a device’s compliance with applicable ACMA technical standards—that is, for telecommunications, radiocommunications, EMC and EME.
Any person who applies the RCM label must be authorised to do so by the supplier.
Any person who applies labels without authorisation may be subject to prosecution for the misuse of a protected symbol.

How to mark the product with the RCM? RCM 在产品上如何标注？
According to AS/NZS 4417.1:2012, the RCM shall be placed on the external surface of the equipment as near as practical to the Model Number.

Do we still need to mark supplier code N123456 with the RCM ?是否需要标注供应商代码？
No .A supplier who has been issued with a supplier code number by the ACMA prior to 1 March 2013 can continue to use the supplier code number with the C-Tick/A-Tick until the end of the transition period. When a supplier begins using the RCM, the supplier code number will not apply. A supplier may, however, voluntarily include any form of unique supplier identification on the device.

Will I need to Register my Device?产品需要注册到数据库吗？
No ,The ACMA arrangements will not require a supplier to register device coverd by the ACMA labelling notice,unless it is an in-scope level 3 electrical equipment.
Why Safety approval is not applicable to this equipment? 为何该产品不需要安规认证？
Only in-scope electrical equipment need to be comply with applicable electrical safety standards. This device doesn’t fall into the in-scope electrical equipment scope.
