The regulatory arrangements aim to ensure that items bear labels that indicate each item's compliance to the requirements of minimum mandatory technical standards. The label must be affixed before the equipment is supplied to the market.

Notices are amended from time to time so that regulatory requirements remain relevant and contemporary. Amendments give effect to new or revised technical standards put forward by industry.
